10Gbps SFP+ BIDI Transceiver Overview

The 10Gbps SFP+ BIDI transceiver is a high-performance, cost-effective optical module supporting data rates up to 10Gbps and transmission distances up to 120km over single-mode fiber (SMF). It is designed for data center and telecom applications requiring reliable long-reach connectivity at 1490nm / 1550nm wavelengths.

The transceiver consists of three core sections: a Cooled EML laser transmitter, an APD photodiode integrated with a trans-impedance preamplifier (TIA), and an MCU control unit. All modules satisfy Class I laser safety requirements and are compatible with the SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) and SFF-8472 digital diagnostics functions.
